Privacy Policy

LLM Council is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our website and services.

Information we collect

Account information: when you create an account, we collect your email address and name through our authentication provider, Clerk.

Service content: we process the questions, files, working-context documents, council outputs, and conversation history you choose to provide so that LLM Council can answer your request, preserve your history, and create requested exports.

Product analytics: we collect limited interaction metadata such as feature usage, page paths, clicks, council lifecycle events, plan and checkout events, and technical diagnostics. Authenticated events may be associated with your account identifier so we can measure activation and retention, but event properties exclude prompt text, uploaded or document text, generated answers, email fields, and chat or conversation identifiers. URL query strings and session-replay network request and response bodies are redacted.

Session replay is disabled by default. If we explicitly enable it for authenticated product diagnostics, it is restricted to the app, masks every text node and all inputs, and blocks forms and editable surfaces. Council prompts, uploaded or document text, and generated answers are therefore excluded from replay; request and response bodies remain redacted.

Payment information: if you subscribe to a paid plan, payment processing is handled by Stripe. We do not store your full credit card details.

How we use it

We use information to provide, maintain, and improve the service; process transactions; send technical notices and support messages; respond to comments and questions; monitor usage; and detect fraud or abuse.

Third parties

We use OpenRouter to process AI queries through multiple language models, Clerk for authentication and account management, Stripe for payment processing, PostHog for privacy-filtered product analytics and optional masked session replay, Google Analytics for aggregate site and funnel measurement, Meta Pixel for advertising attribution, and Cloudflare for content delivery and security. PostHog data is stored in its US Cloud region; Google and Meta process analytics data under their own service terms and privacy policies.

Retention

We retain account information, conversation history, and privacy-filtered product analytics for as long as your account is active or as needed to operate, secure, and improve the service. If masked session replay is explicitly enabled, replay data is retained only for the configured diagnostic period. You can request deletion of your data by contacting hello@llmcouncil.ai.

Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, object to processing, restrict processing, or request portability of personal information we hold about you.

Cookies

We and our authentication, analytics, and advertising providers use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, measure aggregate usage and attribution, and improve the product.

Children

The service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
